Great video. What he says makes a lot of sense and I think more people should see theis video. A lot of people on line appear to befriend you only to sell yu something. And once they have done you don’t really find a friend there.
I do agree with what you had to say. I am involved with health and wellness and I have been amazed at the reception my business partners and I receive when we speak to people one on one. It has been more exciting to establish working and helpful relationships through meeting those individuals face to face and the momentum that builds when they see how great I look and how great I tell them I feel. I am not so familiar with the twitter and facebook, I just love meeting people and sharing with them the “Gift from God”, that is what “noni” stand for in the polynesian language.
Good comment Nikol, but realize that the average person can never find enough prospects to share their vision with, the internet allows that.
So the combination of online networking, with real human interaction, gives people a long term opportunity, where pre-internet it was a whole lot easier to fail!

If we build relationships online and nurture them, as we do with our business relationship we build in person, we will find long term business partners. Too much spamming going on in this industry because it is so easy to do! Quality over Quantity

Seth Godin throws light on the darker side of social networking too. People who use social networking must watch this video to get some awareness.
Even with increased benefits of social networking on internet, this video certainly opens our eyes. Building trust with potential business clients is understandable, but it should certainly not be done under the veil of friendship on Facebook.Networking should remain professional in business matters instead of forging relations.
The Lecture by Seth Godin in this video gave as info about the good and bad part of social networking .Expecting more and more videos related to this topic.

It is very true what Seth Godin has said about making long lasting networks on social sites. This sure makes sense as only long term relations with others rather than one time acquaintances make a difference to one’s personal as well as help professional marketing techniques.
