Outsourcing Your Soul

Everybody’s asking, “Who can create my content for me?” Well, if you’re a big time SEO expert with a fat budget and an impersonal site, go ahead and hire that out.

But if you’re an independent marketer who wants to brand yourself online and create relationships, it’s the last thing you want to do. People want to get to know YOU. Not somebody pretending to be you! And if you’re trying to build your personal brand (You, Inc.) the worst thing you could do is put purchased content on your site!

The key is to find your song and sing it. What are you passionate about? Make your own video and blog posts about it. Nobody else can do it the way you can! It’s like trying to outsource your soul. Even if you could do it, it’s a bad idea.

Whatever it is you’re marketing, if you truly love it, share the message as often as you can, in as many ways as you can, and from your own heart. Even if the writing or video or post isn’t that great, at  least it’s real! And that’s what people will resonate with. So stop looking outside of yourself for content. If you can speak it, you can write it! It’s one of those “Just Do It” things.

  1. This is so true. “Just Do It” and this is what I’m doing.

People really need to understand this don’t worry about the content/video is not perfect so long it comes from the heart.

This is absolutely right. There is no one in the world, who knows us better than ourselfs. This article has increased my self confidence. Now i realise,if i can read,if i can speak,i can do it,not only me we all can.

Speaking your heart and sharing what you feel is right is always taken well.. Rather than spending money to pay professionals to create content on blogs and webpages, just writing out what you think makes the content more personal and helps readers identify with you better.Though time crunch may be a problem, still it can be managed..
I totally agree with Dave. Rather than Outsourcing your soul, Bare your soul..
